A Legacy of Service
Our roots are anchored in a long tradition of military duty. After a distinguished career in the Indian Army, Colonel Divya Thakur retired in 2019, having lived a life defined by discipline and responsibility.
During the global pandemic of 2020, our family moved to Himachal to be with Colonel Thakur’s father-in-law, Lieutenant General B. S. Thakur, PVSM, AVSM, a veteran of over 40 years of service.
It was here that we decided to revive our ancestral apple orchard. Moving away from the traditional contractor model, we took the helm ourselves — applying the same values of discipline to the soil that once guided our service in uniform.
For our family, the transition from the battlefield to the “frontlines” of agriculture was driven by a single mission: to bring honesty back to the Indian food plate.
Challenging the “Organic” Buzzword
As we stepped into farming, we encountered a troubling reality: the word “organic” had increasingly become a marketing label. Produce marketed as organic often still relied on chemical sprays or cosmetic treatments.
We believed that if we were going to farm, we had to do it the right way. For us, integrity is non-negotiable. Instead of taking the easy path, we chose the difficult one.
Precision Meets Purity
We approached farming with the discipline of a military operation — studying the science, observing the land, and constantly learning. Today our orchard blends nature’s wisdom with modern precision:-
High-Density Orchards:
Italian M9 rootstock and modern cultivars for improved fruit quality, and efficient orchard management.
Zero Compromise:
We are undergoing the rigorous three-year government organic certification process. Every input is documented and every tree grown under strict organic standards.
Tech Innovation:
We were among the first in the region to install solar bio-fermenters to brew our own Jeevamruth, keeping the soil rich with natural microbes. Our orchard is also supported by AI-driven sensors that monitor soil conditions, weather patterns, and disease risks — guiding timely interventions.
